Final Circular for Whos Next September 2018

Keeping in view the potential for expansion of trade with European Union region and the need to increase the interaction between entities the Indian Silk Export Promotion Council issued a Circular on 5th Feb 2018 inviting applications for participation of Member Exporters for a built up stand of 9 sq mtr @ Rs. 2,10,000/- for participation in Who’s Next-Premiere Classe in September 2018.

However, on being informed by the organizer that they have revised the rental as well as the compulsory registration for each participants in the above event, the Council is required to pay an additional cost of around Euro 1200 for a stand of 9 sq mtr, the Members were intimated that the cost under revision keeping in the above for which they will be informed. However, an opportunity for those who had applied in response to the circular was provided either to withdraw participation or else it will be assumed that they are prepared to bear the additional expenses.

Now since the Government of India has approved our participation and after considering the funds provided for space subsidy, the revised costing is worked to Rs. 2.95 lakhs for a built up stand of 9 sqmtr  and additional space beyond 9 sq mtr will cost Rs. 40000/- per sq mtr. The participants will be entitled for the following benefits.  The charges for corner stand, if available and provided will be charged 10% of the rental @ Rs. 3500/- per sq mtr. 

Benefits of collective booking as compared as individual booking :

1. The charges for a built up stand of 9 sq mtr shall be less than what the organizer is charging from the exporters participating in the activity directly;  

2. Tea / Coffee at the fair venue on complimentary basis for all the 4 days;

3. Working Lunch (Indian Menu) on complimentary basis for 4 days at the fair ground;

4. B2B Networking Meeting with exporters and importers in an Indian Hotel;

5. The allotment of stands shall be done by draw of lottery;

 1. First installment Rs. 75,000/- by 25th April 2018.

 2. 2nd installment of Rs. 1,25,000/- by 5th May 2018.

 3. Third installment of Rs. 95,000/- by 30th June 2018

    Note: Incase the Euro increases above Rs. 80/- at the time of transfer of payment to the organizer, the extra, if any will be recovered from participants.    

 However, the Council will scrutinize all the applications of participation in consultation with the organizer and non eligible applicants in terms of MAI guidelines or otherwise shall be allowed full-refund without-cut but eligible applicants shall not be allowed to withdraw and the amount deposited shall forfeit. Since this is a Govt sponsored MAI approved activity for abroad, GST is not being charged and TDS if deducted should be @ 2% since the Council is playing the role of coordinator/facilitator and not receiving the payment as rental.   

 The Council reserves the right to refuse participation to any applicant in case not found eligible as per MAI guidelines without assigning any reason, and the amount of advance deposited shall be refunded without any cut.
